The Petition to save River
In 2012, Rajesh Pandit and a group of individuals filed a petition in the Bombay HC, highlighting the state's failure to protect the river and the citizens' negligfence in keeping it clean. The Bombay HC responded by appointing a committee, which took the commendable step of transforming the Sihastha Kumbh Mela into the Harit Kumbh movement. This movement aims to promote activities that are beneficial for nature and discourage those that are harmful. Let us all come together and contribute towards creating a better environment for ourselves and future generations.
